PDF TOOL

Privacy Policy

How PDF Tool handles files, anonymous analytics, and advertising data.

Last updated: August 22, 2026

File handling

PDFs, images, document contents, passwords, and signature data are processed inside the browser on your device. The service has no mechanism to upload, store, or inspect them on an operator-controlled server. Only static program assets such as OCR language data, processing engines, and fonts are fetched when needed.

  • PDF or image contents
  • Filenames and file sizes
  • Passwords and signatures
  • Entered text and page ranges

Anonymous usage measurement

Only after analytics consent in the Google-certified CMP, PDF Tool sends a tool ID and coarse error category to Google Analytics 4. Filenames, formats, counts, sizes, document contents, entered values, passwords, and signatures are excluded.

Advertising

Google AdSense ads may appear in guides, while Ninja AdMax ads may appear on the home page and after PDF tool workspaces. The AdSense tag loads so the Google-certified CMP can display its consent message. Ninja AdMax loads only after advertising-storage consent and may collect the page URL, IP address, and browser information for ad delivery and measurement. PDFs, images, filenames, and entered content are never sent to advertising providers.

Storage and control

Browser local storage retains the language preference. Consent is managed by the Google-certified CMP and can be revisited from Privacy settings in the footer. Data handled by each advertising provider is governed by its own policy.
